The Stockholm Business Alliance is a partnership between 51 municipalities, and focuses on attracting foreign investment to the region. The partnership is based on a five-year agreement, and all partner municipalities have decided to continue to work together from 2011 to 2015. Stockholm Business Region (SBR) is authorized to implement the activities highlighted in the joint business plan, on behalf of the Stockholm Region, and in cooperation with the municipalities.
The investment promotion office at the SBR works to provide information about the advantages of the region, identifies prospects, responds to inquiries and follows up the start-ups and investments made. In addition, the partner municipalities contribute local resources. Although active efforts primarily target a number of selected industries, we help investors in all sectors break into our region.
The international marketing is done under the shared message: Stockholm – the Capital of Scandinavia. Another important part of our work is to improve the services municipalities offer businesses located within their boundaries.
By highlighting the combined advantages of our region, we’re improving the chances of attracting investors and new businesses. Our shared vision is the long-term maintenance of our position as Europe’s leading region for growth.
