Fashion & Design

Sustainability and tech are driving change in the fashion & design industries, and Stockholm is leading the way. Design in Stockholm runs deeper than mere aesthetics. It's a way of living and thinking that is visible everywhere from the clothes we wear to the buildings we live and work in.

As a city of early adopters, international retailers view Stockholm as an ideal test market for everything from new sustainable materials and upcycling to circular business models.

The strong tech sector in Stockholm in combination with Swedes’ focus on sustainability makes Stockholm a perfect place for international retailers to prepare for the future.

Foodtech & Gaming

Stockholm entrepreneurs, known for producing billion-dollar companies, are now tackling the world’s largest economic system, the food sector. Food loss and waste alone account for eight percent of global greenhouse gas emissions. The next-generation food system, driven by tech and data, and geared towards sustainable solutions, is taking shape in Stockholm.

Over the past decade Stockholm has emerged as a key player in the world’s fast-growing gaming industry. The birthplace of gaming behemoths such as EA DICE, Mojang, and King - the creator of Candy Crush Saga, the highest revenue generating mobile game of all time - Sweden's capital is also home to over half of the country's 300 game companies.
